Brandy production is Switzerland is a something of a cottage industry. Northern Switzerland is noted for it's clear fruit eaux-de-vie; Kirsch, poire Williams, and their apple brandy, Batzi.
Agriculture employs less than 3% of the population and most of that is devoted to cattle farming, however the enterprising Swiss import what they do not make.
